In this context, it is stated that the total investment amount made or planned by the tech giant in Ireland has reached 25 billion Euro. This massive financial commitment not only supports the company's growth but also has a structure that profoundly impacts the Irish economy. It was announced that the mentioned amount covers both the funds already spent and the infrastructure projects planned to be built in the future. This situation clearly reveals Amazon's long-term and unwavering commitment to Ireland.

Even within the year 2025 alone, it was recorded that Amazon directly invested at least 3 billion Euro in Ireland. This large-scale investment package also includes the official launch of the Amazon.ie platform, which will specifically serve the country. Furthermore, the budget in question was allocated to physical infrastructure works in the country, the expansion of data centers, and payments to existing employees. The company's logistics operations, vast distribution networks, corporate offices, and state-of-the-art connectivity infrastructure (such as the Fastnet submarine cable) constitute core parts of these investments. Amazon's Leo project, a broadband internet network consisting of a constellation of satellites orbiting the Earth, also stands out as one of the projects within this scope. All these massive steps make Ireland a strategic and indispensable hub for Amazon's European operations.

Amazon is taking highly ambitious steps in Ireland regarding job creation and revitalizing the local economy. While the company currently directly employs approximately 6 thousand 500 people across Ireland, this number reaches 10 thousand people together with the expanded workforce in its corporate and operational facilities. The growth of operations also increases the demand for local suppliers, service providers, and qualified professionals across the country. The company offers career opportunities in a wide range of fields, from entry-level positions to data engineers, filmmakers, finance experts, and operations managers. This situation reflects Amazon's diversity across various business lines in the country, such as retail sales, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Prime, Amazon Studios, and satellite broadband networks.

Aiming to produce innovative solutions for customers and connect communities, Amazon is building world-class infrastructures in Ireland that will generate value for decades. In this context, the Amazon.ie store, which offers local support, fast delivery, and easy returns to customers, was opened in Mart 2025. The logistics center located in Dublin, Baldonnell, which became operational in 2022, is growing rapidly, employing more than 700 people and continuing to create new job opportunities. In addition, the company plans to realize the Leo project by building a satellite earth station at the National Space Centre in Cork, Ireland. The Fastnet submarine fiber optic cable project, which will connect the Cork region of Ireland to the Maryland state in the United States, will also strengthen digital connectivity. These developments will significantly increase the country's technological capacity to meet the growing demand for cloud computing and artificial intelligence.

The company's investment in the country is not limited to commercial and technological fields; social responsibility projects and environmental initiatives have also gained great momentum. In this context, through the Amazon South West Cork Community Fund, grants of up to 10 thousand Euro are provided to 22 different projects in the fields of STEM education, sustainability, and health. Environmentally, a fund of 495 thousand Euro was allocated under the Right Now Climate Fund to develop a new Peatland Standard for Ireland. Thanks to the collaboration with EnergyCloud, it is aimed for low-income families to have smart heating devices powered by wind energy. Furthermore, significant financial support is provided to local sports clubs, arts events, and literary organizations through the Ireland Gal Association (GAA) and regional creative funds. All these steps prove that Amazon's presence in Ireland is not just an economic growth story, but a holistic strategy that also supports societal development.
