People from Yozgat Living in Ankara Visited Their Hometown with the 'Yozgat Seni Çağırıyor' Project

The "Yozgat Seni Çağırıyor" project, initiated under the leadership of the Yozgatlı Dernekler Federasyonu, brought people from Yozgat living in the capital together with their hometown. As part of the project, a delegation of approximately 70 people departing from Ankara virtually explored Yozgat for two days. This visit not only satisfied the longing of the expatriates but also contributed to the promotion of the city.

The participants within the delegation had the opportunity to examine the city's deep-rooted historical heritage on-site. Experiencing the regional cultural riches as well as the natural beauties, the guests closely recognized the tourism potential offered by the district. The intensive two-day program aimed both to relieve the longing for the hometown and to keep regional values alive.

This cultural gathering both strengthened the participants' emotional ties with their hometown and provided significant momentum to the promotion of Yozgat. It was observed that such non-governmental initiatives organized by the Federation alleviate the longing created by intercity migration.

Considered a meaningful step in terms of regional development and cultural tourism, the project aims to create awareness regarding the adoption of local values and their transfer to future generations.
