1,55 Lira Price Increase Coming to Gasoline Prices

Geopolitical tensions in global markets and the conflict environment between the USA and Iran are causing oil prices to rise. With the addition of fluctuations in the dollar exchange rate to this process, a new increase in fuel prices in Turkey has become inevitable. In this context, a development closely concerning vehicle owners is taking place, and a significant price hike is on the way for the gasoline group.

Only drivers using gasoline will be affected by this price increase, as no change is expected in diesel prices. When expectations are realized, the liter price of gasoline is projected to settle at 64,53 lira in İstanbul, 65,48 lira in Ankara, and 65,77 lira in İzmir. In Eastern provinces, gasoline prices are estimated to rise up to 67,12 lira.

The Eşel Mobil system implemented by the state in the pricing process prevents the price hikes on fuel from being fully reflected to consumers by covering them through the Special Consumption Tax (ÖTV). This system plays an important role in fighting inflation and curbing sudden fluctuations. In our country, fuel costs take their final form by adding the ÖTV and EPDK share to the duty-free refinery price and incorporating the daily dollar exchange rate.
