Two vehicles collide due to wrong overtaking in Bilecik: 4 injured

A traffic accident occurred on the Bozüyük-İnegöl highway, located in the Aşağı Armutlu area within the borders of Bozüyük district in Bilecik. According to the information obtained, the accident occurred as a result of two cars traveling in the same direction making a wrong overtaking maneuver. With the impact of the collision, a total of four people, including the drivers in both vehicles, were injured. Emergency service teams were immediately dispatched to the scene, and first aid was administered to the injured on site. After the first intervention, the injured were taken to Bozüyük Devlet Hastanesi and placed under treatment.

It was learned that one of the vehicles involved in the accident was a car with the license plate 26 AH 549, driven by Erdem Ö. It was announced that the other vehicle was a car with the license plate 11 AAJ 974, driven by İlyas Ü. It was stated that both drivers were traveling from the Bozüyük direction towards the İnegöl direction when they collided. It was emphasized that the main cause of the accident was an unsafe overtaking attempt. Passengers in the vehicles named Tuba Ö. and Zekiye Ü. were also injured due to the impact of the collision.

As a part of the road became unusable as a result of the accident, traffic flow was temporarily disrupted. The passage of vehicles on the Bozüyük-İnegöl highway was ensured in a controlled manner for a while. Authorities took extensive measures to ensure the safety of life and property in the area where the accident occurred. It was announced that fault will be determined as a result of the investigation and necessary penal procedures will be applied.
