Temperature in Elazığ to Reach 39 Degrees, Experts Warn of Sunstroke

According to meteorological data, Elazığ is experiencing one of the hottest days of the summer season. Along with clear and partly cloudy skies across the region, air temperatures are hovering above seasonal norms. While the highest temperature is expected to reach 39 degrees in Keban district, it is also expected to be 38 degrees in Arıcak and Maden districts.

It is predicted that the air temperature will be around 37 degrees in the city center and districts such as Ağın, Kovancılar, and Palu. It was stated that even in Baskil and Sivrice, known as cooler districts, thermometers will show 34 degrees. Authorities announced that they do not expect precipitation across the city and that the scorching hot weather will continue to show its effect in the coming days.

Experts particularly emphasize that one should not stay under the sun for long periods between 11.00 and 16.00. While the elderly, children, and those with chronic illnesses are asked to be careful, all citizens are advised to consume plenty of fluids and wear light-colored clothing. Additionally, those engaged in agricultural and livestock activities need to be cautious against high temperatures.
