Retired petty officer Serhat Satıcı, lost his life in the accident on his return from Antalya, was sent off in Germencik.

Serhat Satıcı, a 39-year-old retired Infantry Sergeant Major who practiced the taxi driver profession in İzmir, faced a tragic traffic accident on his return from Antalya for work. Satıcı, who was severely injured in the accident, could not be saved despite the intense efforts of doctors and all medical interventions at the hospital he was taken to, and passed away. This sudden and sad news plunged Satıcı’s family and all his loved ones into deep sorrow, and after the completion of autopsy procedures, the body of the deceased petty officer was sent to his hometown, Germencik district of Aydın.

The final farewell ceremony for retired petty officer Serhat Satıcı was held in the presence of a military protocol at Şeyh Mehmet Mosque in Germencik district. Led by Germencik District Governor Sultan Doğru, this meaningful ceremony was attended by military officers, representatives of various public institutions and organizations, the family of the deceased petty officer, his relatives, and a large number of citizens from the region who shared the grief. The military ceremony organized for Satıcı, who joined civilian life after completing his military service and tried to earn his living in İzmir, drew attention as a sign of his professional prestige.

Germencik District Governor Sultan Doğru, who gave a speech at the funeral ceremony, visited to offer condolences and wished condolences to the family and relatives of Serhat Satıcı who lost his life, stating that they were not alone in these difficult days. The crowd attending the ceremony shared the pain felt as both a public servant and a martyr's relative, with the attendance of District Governor Doğru and the district protocol. Meanwhile, family members who struggled to hold back their tears while accepting condolences tried to find some consolation with the support of the participants.

The funeral prayer was performed after the Friday prayer, accompanied by prayers from the community gathered for martyrs and veteran relatives.
