Call for justice from families on the 6th anniversary of the death of 7 workers in Hendek

Although six years have passed since the massive explosion that occurred on July 3, 2020 at the Büyük Coşkunlar Fireworks Factory located in the Hendek district of Sakarya, the families of the workers who lost their lives continue to suffer and seek justice. Gathering in front of the factory, the families emphasized in their press statement that justice has still not been served because the perpetrators have not been brought to justice and the investigation has not been sufficiently clarified.

In the tragic event at that time, seven workers working in the factory lost their lives and dozens of workers were injured as a result of the intensity of the explosion and the subsequent fire. This accident, which occupied the agenda of Sakarya for a long time, came to the agenda due to the inadequacy of occupational safety measures and the weaknesses in inspection mechanisms in dangerous sectors such as fireworks production, and aroused wide repercussions.
