Piece of Concrete Falling from Roof in Istanbul Claims Woman's Life

A tragic accident occurred in Muratpaşa Neighborhood of Bayrampaşa district in Istanbul. A piece of concrete breaking off from the roof of a building hit a woman sitting in front of the building on the head. The heavily injured victim was immediately taken to the hospital for intervention by health teams dispatched to the scene. However, despite the intense efforts of the health workers, the woman could not respond to any interventions and lost her life.

The victim of the incident was identified as 54-year-old Fatma Kalkancı. While Kalkancı was sitting at the entrance of the building she resided in, she became the target of a rubble piece falling from above.
