A New Scam Case With Fake Police In Italy: Gold and Money Handed Over

In the town of Marotta di Mondolfo in the Marche region of Italy, a disabled citizen born in 1971 was defrauded as a result of a fabricated accusation made by people calling them on the phone. On the Thursday morning the incident occurred, the caller introduced themselves as a Carabinieri commissioner from the city of Fano and told the victim they were suspected of being involved in a robbery. Exploiting their trust, the victim safely handed over the cash they had and valuable gold jewelry belonging to their family to the fake police officer. The victim was fully convinced that all these transactions were a legal control and investigation process carried out by the police force.

Realizing that the robbery accusation, the marshal's call, and the delivery next to the supermarket were all a fabricated scenario, they experienced great disappointment.
