Kazakh Police Denied Kayrat Nurtas Allegations: The Incident Was a Personal Disagreement

The police department located in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, officially announced that the sexual assault allegations involving famous Kazakh singer Kayrat Nurtas were unfounded. Following a request from the local media outlet 'Kursiv' regarding the matter, authorities evaluated the situation and reported that the rumors did not reflect the truth. Police spokespersons stated that all necessary procedures within the scope of current legislation were meticulously implemented and the incident was investigated in detail. As a result of the comprehensive investigation, it was definitively concluded that no criminal elements regarding the incident could be identified. The source of these unfounded news reports was some publications that rapidly spread on social media, particularly shared via Telegram. A Telegram channel named EGOV.PRESS assertively presented a screenshot of a report message circulating in police chat groups belonging to the Astana Police Department. In this shared visual content, it was claimed that the incident occurred on 10 Temmuz 2026 at The Ritz-Carlton Oteli and that the complainant was a woman born in 2006. Furthermore, in this screenshot, it was alleged that the female complainant was registered in official records as an individual engaged in prostitution and had gone to the hotel to provide services for a specific fee. These details immediately created a massive sensation on social media and were discussed by thousands of people.

In the published speculative messages, it was claimed that after arriving at the hotel, the artist had a serious argument with the woman over a disagreement regarding recording a video with a phone. According to the allegations, the woman born in 2006 was invited to the hotel in the early hours of the morning, and at that time, a reaction was shown due to her recording. Another claim was that a payment of 240 thousand Tenge was made in return for the service in question; however, the details of this payment remained unclear. Such striking details paved the way for the news to spread rapidly on the internet, regardless of its accuracy, and to turn into a lynching campaign that would damage the singer's reputation. However, with the intervention of the authorities, it was proven that these serious charges were baseless gossip.

In the final assessment made by the Astana Police Department, it was clearly emphasized that the scandalous incident was merely a personal disagreement. Authorities announced that the partial argument between two visitors present at the hotel did not involve any illegal activity. It was reported that the situation was completely closed after both parties resolved the matter among themselves and a satisfactory conclusion was immediately reached. Additionally, it was stated that the complainant who brought the matter to the police later withdrew all her allegations and did not pursue any legal claims.
