Man Who Insulted Woman at a Bar in Milano and Beat His Spouse After Drawing a Weapon Caught

An assault incident that broke out at a bar located on via Castel Morrone in the Italian city of Milano resulted in the rapid intervention of local security forces. While a woman was being harassed with disturbing words at the bar, her partner, who wanted to intervene in the situation, was subjected to severe violence. Upon the couple's reaction, the attacker drew the firearm he was carrying and aimed it at the man's back. After threatening them with the gun, the suspect punched and kicked the man, beating him before quickly leaving the scene.

Immediately after the incident, the victims went directly to the Monforte Vittoria police station to report the situation to the authorities and filed a formal complaint. However, the suspect's freedom and attempt to flee were very short-lived; as detectives belonging to the Milano Police Forces launched a comprehensive investigation into the incident and began working to identify the suspect. To identify the suspect, detectives showed a photo album to the victims. The couple recognized the twenty-seven-year-old Albanian attacker among the photos without leaving any room for doubt.

It was learned that the suspect had a judicial history with law enforcement units in previous years and was known as a familiar face during investigation processes. Following this critical identification, police teams took action to conduct an operation at the address where the individual resided. As undercover police officers approached the door while the suspect was staying at the site of his house, the Albanian national immediately noticed the situation. Realizing he was going to be caught, the attacker ran towards the entrance of the building, attempting to reach his apartment and lock himself inside.

While the teams were surrounding the building, the suspect began looking for ways to get rid of the pistol, which was evidence in his hand. To buy time and prevent the police from entering his home, he threw the weapon out of his apartment's bathroom window into the backyard of the building. However, the suspect's calculation failed, because the detectives had deliberately not left the back facade of the building unattended precisely to prevent any possible attempt at destruction. The teams waiting at the scene quickly secured the fallen pistol, leaving the attacker defenseless.

As a result of the operation conducted by the police, the individual was definitively neutralized, taken into custody, and brought to the police headquarters to have his statement taken. In examinations carried out by the authorities, it was revealed that the seized weapon was a stolen firearm, which was the subject of a burglary committed in 2018. The suspect was arrested and sent to prison on charges of intentional injury and severe threat against the victims. Additionally, the police seized 6,600 euros in cash found on the attacker and in his home during the operation, for which he could not provide a credible explanation regarding its source. With this comprehensive investigation, not only was the perpetrator of the armed assault brought to justice, but financial investigation steps were also initiated targeting wealth believed to have been obtained through illegal means.
