Remnants of war explosives to be destroyed in the Šabac region in Sırbistan

The Sector for Emergency Situations, affiliated with the Sırbistan Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP), announced that they have planned a major security operation for the upcoming Monday in the Šabac (Şabats) region. In the statement made by the authorities, it was noted that explosive materials, which are remnants of war found in the region, will be safely destroyed on the said date. Such systematic destruction operations aim to eliminate explosives remaining from past conflicts that still pose a threat to the civilian population today. The presence of such painful and devastating reminders in post-conflict regions constitutes a continuous risk factor for the safety of the local population.
