Chain traffic accident on TEM Otoyolu Silivri section: 5 people injured

Upon a report of a chain traffic accident in the Silivri section of TEM Otoyolu, one of Istanbul's most important transit routes, health and security teams were dispatched to the region. Initial information reaching the scene indicated a situation involving three different vehicles and developing as a chain traffic accident, while it was reported that the severity of the accident caused brief panic in the vicinity.

As a result of the violent collisions between the vehicles traveling on the road at the time of the accident and the barriers, it was determined that a total of five people, including passengers and drivers in the vehicles, were injured. Ambulance teams reaching the scene within minutes upon the report initiated efforts to provide first aid to the injured and transport them to the nearest health institutions. Due to the damage and dragging of the vehicles involved in the accident, it was observed that traffic came to a complete standstill or was hindered in a certain part of the road, and meanwhile, teams took measures to establish a safe working area.

Initial investigations into how the accident occurred were launched to determine whether factors such as speed or vehicle distance played a role.
