The Trinity sports center, located in Long Island City (LIC), is preparing to bring sports enthusiasts together this fall with the second edition of its 'Trinity Games' event. This annual hybrid competition, which attracted great interest last year and is intended to become a tradition, will provide exciting moments along the region's coastline. This year, three times as many participants as last year are expected, with exactly 150 teams taking to the field. This race, where athletes will test both their endurance and strength, aims to grow and strengthen the local fitness community. The organization also aims to provide an unforgettable community experience for participants and spectators.

The format of the race, which will be held on 17 Ekim, is similar to the HYROX fitness competitions that have gained massive worldwide popularity in recent years. Competitors must complete six different exercise stations separated by one-kilometer running courses along the Long Island City coastline. These stations feature various and challenging movements such as burpees, lunges, wall ball throws, ski erg, rowing, and farmer's carry. The organization, which features men's, women's, and mixed teams competing, has a dynamic structure that pushes physical limits. This format, which attracts both professional athletes and amateur fitness enthusiasts, offers participants a unique racing experience.

The organization is planned to be much more than just a sporting competition. The event is organized in collaboration with Culture Lab LIC, Hunters Point Parks Conservancy, and other local businesses in the area. The revenue generated from the race will be donated to Culture Lab and Hunters Point Parks Conservancy, providing direct support to the development of the local community. Additionally, the organizers aim to create a 'wellness festival' atmosphere at this year's event with live music performances, local vendor booths, and various activities. People are encouraged to attend the event not only to compete but also to have fun, socialize, and get to know local businesses closely.

John Collins and Seamus Keane, Irish immigrants and founders of The Trinity, state that the event has gained tremendous growth momentum. The first Trinity Games, held last October, saw the participation of 50 teams and 6 sponsors. Following this, they note that this year's organization will take place on a three times larger scale, with up to 30 sponsors and 150 teams. The duo, proud of their success, plans to bring this hybrid race to much wider audiences in the coming years, moving it to an international platform. Their vision is to make Long Island City an important hub for fitness and healthy living.

The foundations of The Trinity were laid with outdoor workout classes held at Hunters Point South Park, eventually growing into a fully equipped fitness studio. One of the brand's main goals is to build a strong and connected sports community in the Long Island City area. The founders believe that such races are a great opportunity to encourage the local community to engage in sports and a healthy lifestyle. The festival atmosphere and various activities offered by the event reflect a vision that makes exercising more fun and accessible for everyone. Ultimately, Trinity Games is poised to become an important cultural and sporting meeting point that both contributes to the local economy and invites people to an active lifestyle.
