17-Year-Old Youth in Ukrayna Can Complete Online Military Registration Until 31 Temmuz

The Ukrayna Savunma Bakanlığı announced that youth who turn 17 can complete their military registration procedures digitally. In the country, it is mandatory for youth reaching military age to register, and various procedures were determined in this context for youth born in 2009. The digitization of the military registration system in the country, where the war continues, allows youth to complete their procedures without being required to physically go to military centers. This new digital application aims to reduce the density in state institutions and speed up the registration processes. Thus, youth can fulfill their necessary legal obligations without leaving their homes.

Online military registration procedures can be carried out until the date of 31 Temmuz via a mobile application called "Rezerv+". Youth can log into the system by upgrading the application to the current version and authenticating via BankID. After logging into the system, it is necessary to check the personal information on the screen and press the "Register" button. After the application is completed, the request is automatically processed by the system and the procedure is completed. When the procedures are successfully concluded, a Rezerv ID document is created in the application along with the "Candidate for Call-up" status.

After the date of 31 Temmuz, the online registration opportunity via Rezerv+ for 17-year-old youth will end. After this date and until the age of 18, youth will have to complete their registration procedures by applying in person to the Teritoryal İşçi ve Destek Merkezleri (TCC ve SP) closest to their residence. However, after youth reach the age of 18, the process becomes completely automatic. At this point, youth may not even need to physically go to any military center to register or undergo a medical examination for military purposes.

The military registration procedures for youth who turn 18 can be carried out through the system with information automatically pulled from the databases of the Devlet Göç Servisi. The system automatically determines the TCC ve SP center to be connected based on the person's registered or declared residence address. Since no special notification is made to youth during this automatic registration process, it is of great importance for individuals to check their status themselves. Youth can check their registration status and update their contact information by logging into the Rezerv+ application.

The "Not Registered" status seen in the application indicates that the person has not yet gone through the military registration procedure. Youth over the age of 18 in this situation can initiate the online registration application themselves by following the steps in the application. If any technical problem occurs during the online procedure or the status is not updated, the person must apply directly to military units. While this comprehensive digital infrastructure provided by the state helps the conscription system to be more transparent and trackable, it also keeps the possibility of occasional technical glitches on the agenda.
