Orthodox Calendar 2026: Synaxis of Archangel Gabriel

According to the Orthodox faith, Archangel Gabriel is commemorated on three different dates throughout the year.

The first of these dates, March 26, falls on the day immediately following the Annunciation. According to belief, Gabriel is the angel who announced the birth of Jesus to Mary.
