Forest fire in France's Biscarrosse region burns 1,200 hectares to ashes, 5,000 people evacuated

In the Gironde region of France, near the Arcachon Basin, a very severe forest fire has been ongoing since Wednesday.

While authorities evacuated 5,000 people from the area for safety reasons, the size of the fire reached 1,200 hectares.
