French-German research institute tests next-generation electromagnetic gun in the open for the first time

The French-German Saint-Louis Research Institute (ISL) has successfully conducted the first open-air test of a next-generation electromagnetic gun.

This short-duration test, carried out at the Baldersheim proving ground, replaced years of theoretical research, engineering developments, and laboratory testing.
