Expected Increase in Gasoline and Diesel on July 17

Due to the increase in international oil prices and the impact of the exchange rate, fuel prices in Turkey are expected to rise again. The barrel price of Brent crude oil rising to the 84-86 dollar band directly affects pump prices. According to information received from sector representatives, it is anticipated that new hikes will be reflected at the pump starting from Friday, July 17.

As part of the expected new price increases, a hike of approximately 3.90 TL per liter for diesel and 1 TL per liter for gasoline is planned. These increases are a continuation of the consecutive hikes applied to fuel during July. The said hike amounts are expected to be finalized following the final calculations of the distribution companies.

Following the expected hike, fuel prices will reach record levels in provinces where transportation costs are already high. It is anticipated that the diesel liter price will approach 77 liras in Hakkari, one of the provinces where fuel is sold the most expensively in Turkey, and gasoline prices will fluctuate in the 66-68 lira range in some cities.
