Drug Operation in 74 Provinces: 935 Suspects Arrested

Under the coordination of the General Directorate of Security's Department of Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime, large-scale drug operations were conducted in 73 provinces, including Edirne. Thousands of police officers and support teams participated in the operations, which were carried out through the joint efforts of the Republic Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices and Provincial Police Directorates.

Within the scope of the operations, a total of 985 kilograms of drugs and 1 million 639 thousand 239 drug pills were seized. Along with these substances prevented from being released to the market, 1.780 suspects were detained and referred to judicial authorities.

Following the completion of the judicial processes, 935 of the suspects were arrested, while judicial control measures were imposed on 224 individuals. In the statement made by the Ministry of Interior, it was emphasized that the fight against drug trafficking will continue with determination and without interruption across the country.
