Following the Attacks Launched by the USA Against Iran, Retaliation Came from Tehran Against American Bases in the Gulf

Military tension between the USA and Iran has been carried to a new phase in the Middle East. According to the statement by the American military, US forces conducted airstrikes against military facilities in the Bender Abbas region in southern Iran and other strategic points. In addition to missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles, air defense systems, and coastal defense infrastructure were targeted during the attacks.

In response, Iran announced that it retaliated against American military bases and facilities in the Persian Gulf. The Iranian press reported that US-owned targets in Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman were struck, and an attack was also carried out on a former American base in Syria. As a result of the attacks, fires broke out at electricity and water treatment facilities in Kuwait, while a child was injured in Qatar due to falling debris.

The clashes also show a tendency to spread in the Strait of Hormuz, the heart of global oil trade. Iran's attacks on some commercial ships near the strait and the increasing risk of conflict in the region have caused a significant decrease in maritime traffic. Supply concerns have led to a renewed rise in global oil prices.
