2 People Lost Their Lives in Natural Gas Explosion in Afyonkarahisar

In Afyonkarahisar, a massive natural gas explosion occurred for an undetermined reason on the top floor of a 6-story apartment building located at Hıdırağa Mahallesi Borsa Meydanı, served by Çorlu Doğalgaz Dağıtım A.Ş. (ÇORDAŞ). Due to the intensity of the explosion, severe damage rendering the apartment unusable occurred, along with fragmentation and structural damage detected on the building's exterior. Immediately after the incident, a state of panic and security concerns led to the dispatch of numerous health, fire, and police teams to the scene. From the very first moment, wide security measures were taken by the teams, nearby citizens were kept away, and inspections were initiated in the region.
