Amber Alert Cancelled in Alberta: 6-Year-Old Child Still Missing

The Amber Alert issued for six-year-old Lanakai Morrison in Alberta, Canada, was cancelled on Friday afternoon. Beaverlodge RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police) announced that the alert was lifted because the public instructions in the alert were no longer applicable. However, authorities emphasized that the young child has still not been found and the search continues. In addition to the abducted child, it was reported that her biological mother Krista Morrison, her mother's partner Daniel Ludwig, and four-year-old Karl Morrison are also currently missing. Authorities are focusing on the suspicion that Lanakai, who was taken from the Valhalla Centre area of Alberta, the starting point of the incident, on 7 Temmuz, was abducted by her biological mother. Authorities believe the child is traveling with her mother Krista Morrison, her mother's partner Ludwig, and another child. Initial assessments suggested that the four individuals had fled in a 2015 Toyota Tunda vehicle. However, the vehicle in question was found and seized by the police team on Thursday. According to current information, it is evaluated that the wanted individuals are currently using a red 2006 Ford F350 pickup truck. Authorities warned the public not to approach the vehicle directly if they see it and to notify the police as soon as possible.

Initial information issued under the Amber Alert indicated that the missing individuals disappeared from an area quite close to the Britanya Kolumbiyası (B.C.) border. This case, which spread from a small settlement like Valhalla Centre to multiple provinces, has also caused anxiety among the local public, prompting them to remain vigilant. The physical characteristics of the wanted individuals were also shared in detail by the authorities. It was stated that six-year-old Lanakai was described as a slender child with long light-colored hair and brown eyes. Information was provided that her mother Krista is thirty-five years old, of medium build, with long dark brown hair and brown eyes. It was emphasized that Krista's partner Daniel Ludwig is a thirty-five-year-old man of large build, with brown hair and brown eyes. It was added that four-year-old Karl Morrison, who is believed to be in the group, was described as having a fair complexion, a slender build, dirty blonde hair, and brown eyes. The public was asked to pay attention to these descriptions and to call emergency services if they observe anything suspicious.
