Simultaneous operation in 7 provinces against 'Ay Grubu' criminal organization: 107 suspects identified

Bakırköy Cumhuriyet Başsavcılığı launched a comprehensive investigation against the armed criminal organization named 'Ay Grubu', which operates centered in İstanbul and is led by A.A. The organization was found to be involved in numerous serious crimes such as qualified robbery, drug trafficking, injury by shooting, and attempted murder.

Within the scope of the activities conducted by the prosecutor's office, the number of suspects reached 107. It was learned that 31 of these individuals are currently in prison. A simultaneous operation was conducted in the morning hours at 93 addresses in a total of 7 provinces, centered in İstanbul and including Konya, Sakarya, Adana, Ağrı, Bingöl, and Şanlıurfa.

The operation, carried out by police teams, is ongoing to capture the suspects and conduct search activities at the addresses. It was recorded that the organization also carried out various armed and drug-related criminal acts in Muğla, Kocaeli, İzmir, Samsun, and Bursa between January and July.
