Hafiz Naeem Demands Government Reduce Petrol Prices to 225 Rupi per Litre

Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Emir Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman in Pakistan has called for urgent action from the federal government to reflect global oil price drops to citizens. Rehman stated that while crude oil prices abroad have returned to pre-conflict levels, the Pakistani people are still forced to pay high fuel prices. In a written statement issued on Thursday, the JI leader called on the government to fully pass on the price drop in international markets to the consumer. Arguing that the government's priority should be public welfare rather than the interests of oil marketing companies, Rehman emphasized that fuel prices should reflect international market trends and provide meaningful relief to households already crushed by inflation.
