Major blow to Tren de Aragua gang by Spanish police: Violent robbery and drug network dismantled

The Spanish National Police announced that a network linked to the Tren de Aragua criminal organization has been dismantled in various cities across the country. The gang was involved in drug trafficking as well as violent robberies where they stole jewelry and watches worth tens of thousands of euros.

The investigation was launched following an armed attack on a luxury residential complex in the city of León in January 2026. The criminals threatened the residents at gunpoint, including children in the house, and stole watches and jewelry worth more than 100,000 euros and 10,000 euros in cash.

Following months of surveillance, the police arrested five suspects by conducting three operations in Madrid and one each in Tenerife, Ibiza, and Orense. During the searches, 50 cartridges, 5,700 euros in cash, fake license plates, and approximately 500 grams of pink cocaine (tusi) were seized.
