Meta, the owner of giant platforms like Instagram, WhatsApp and Facebook, has been focusing on artificial intelligence technologies with a strategic change it has made in recent years. While the company has previously made many open-source artificial intelligence models available to the public, it has now quietly released a very striking application. Named 'Pocket', this new mobile application allows users to develop games by writing only textual commands without needing any coding knowledge. Developed by the team behind the Gizmo game platform, which Meta acquired at the beginning of the year, this application works like an AI-powered assistant. Users can create their projects by giving commands in natural language within the Pocket app, just as they would request from AI tools like ChatGPT or Gemini.

Although Pocket is listed on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, it is under a quite restricted regional lock for download and use. Despite being US-based, it is reported that even users in the United States cannot access it at the moment. Checks on the store pages show that the application is not accessible in Turkey either and is likely in a closed-loop testing phase limited to certain geographical regions. This situation suggests that Meta is running a preparation process before a wide launch to increase the stability of the application and receive user feedback. Economically, the application is currently offered completely free of charge as it is in the testing phase.
