July 2026 Public Employees Salary and Holiday Bonus Payment Schedule Announced in Peru

The National Bank of Peru (Banco de la Nación) has officially announced the public sector payment schedule for the month of July 2026. This comprehensive schedule clarifies the dates on which salary payments for government employees, as well as pensions, will be deposited into accounts. Additionally, details were shared regarding the extra bonus payment to be given to public employees and pensioners due to the national holidays (Fiestas Patrias) celebrated annually in the country. The schedule in question systematically organizes the payment dates of different government institutions and ministries. Thus, millions of public employees and pensioners have the opportunity to plan in advance when they will receive their allocations.

The month of July brings an extra income for public employees in Peru, in addition to their regular monthly salaries. This special bonus amount distributed as part of the national holidays has been set at 300 Peruvian Soles (S/300). This cash reward will be deposited into bank accounts at the same time as the employees' monthly salaries, providing economic relief. According to current legislation, such extraordinary payments continue to be made similarly during the Christmas celebration period in December. Therefore, these state-supported premiums provide a significant contribution to citizens' budgets during two important periods of the year.

The depositing of salaries and bonuses for public employees will be carried out between 17 and 22 July 2026. The system continues its operation based on different days depending on the size and type of institutions. For example; payments for strategic institutions such as the Ministry of Education, universities, the Prime Minister's Office, Transportation, Defense, Justice, Economy, and Justice will be made on Friday, 17 July. Following this, the Ministries of Interior, Social Development, Foreign Affairs, and Housing will receive their salaries and bonuses on Monday, 20 July. Ministries such as Health, Environment, Culture, and Labor, along with the National Registry of Identification and Civil Status (RENIEC), will see payments in their accounts on Tuesday, 21 July. Finally, payments to personnel of institutions such as Tourism, Electoral Boards, and the Constitutional Court will be completed on Wednesday, 22 July.

A detailed payment plan was also created for pensioners under Decree Law No. 19990. The payment dates for individuals in this group were determined according to the first letter of their last name, ensuring a more orderly distribution process. Accordingly, payments for pensioners whose last names begin with letters between A and C will be made on 7 July, and for those between D and L on 8 July. Those with last names between M and Q will receive their payments on 9 July, and pensioners with last names between R and Z will receive their payments on 10 July. In addition, home service (pago a domicilio) for pensioners with restricted mobility or those unable to leave their homes will be provided between 13 and 25 July.

This comprehensive payment plan is a significant indicator of the regular financial support provided by the Peruvian state to its employees and senior citizens. The 300 Sol bonuses given during the holiday periods are considered a prominent economic support tool, especially for low-income government personnel. This system, operated through the National Bank, aims to ensure that payments reach the target audience in a safe, transparent, and planned manner. The spreading of payments across the calendar for all public institutions also prevents potential congestion and technical glitches in the banking system. Consequently, the July 2026 payment schedule stands out as a critical regulation that will meet the economic needs faced in the middle of the year by individuals employed in the public sector and pensioners in Peru.
