Romanian SuperLiga Preparations Continue: Conversation with Dinamo București and Farul

The teams competing in the SuperLiga, the top-tier league of Romanian football, have accelerated their preparations for the new season following a very short summer break. The new season, planned to start in about a month, is eagerly awaited by football fans. All sixteen teams in the league have clarified their pre-season camps and the schedules of their friendly matches. In this context, the teams wishing to test their new transfers and establish tactical formations have entered an intensive schedule of friendly matches. All these encounters reveal the physical and technical conditions of the teams ahead of the new season.

One of the most notable pre-season friendly matches was played between Dinamo București and Farul Constanța. The match, which took place at the Arcul de Triumf Stadium in the capital București, drew great interest from outside the pitch as much as inside. Thousands of Dinamo fans gathered around the stadium hours before the match's kick-off time of 19:30, at around 17:00, eagerly waiting for the gates to open. This intense interest proved once again that the match was not just a simple training match and showed how hungry the fans are for the new season. On the pitch, Dinomo took their place under the management of technical director Nuno Campos.

In the ninth minute of the match, Dinamo București managed to open the scoring. From Armstrong's free-kick taken from the left side, Mărginean, who positioned himself well inside the penalty area, headed the ball into the net to put his team 1-0 ahead. Additionally, before this match, Dinamo had played another friendly match behind closed doors at the Săfitca training facilities against CSL Ștefăneștii de Jos. In the tenth minute of that encounter, new transfer Martin Pascual headed the ball from a corner kick to determine the score, and the match ended in a 1-0 victory for Dinamo. These results revealed how effective Dinamo's offensive power and, especially, set-piece organizations are. On the other hand, other teams on the Romanian football agenda continue to play their own friendly matches. Petrolul Ploiești faced Liga 2 team ASA Târgu Mureș in Strejnic and left the pitch with a 1-1 draw. Falling behind due to Kocsis's goal, Petrolul equalized with a goal from Mario Ioniță. The students of technical director Ricardo Sousa will play their final friendly match before the new season against Chindia Târgoviște on 11 July. FC Argeș, one of the surprise teams of last season, left their two friendly matches against SCM Râmnicu Vâlcea in Mioveni with a 1-1 draw and a 2-0 victory, respectively, maintaining their ambitious stance.

Meanwhile, Rapid București played a friendly match against Czechia's Slovan Liberec team as part of their camp organized in Austria. Rapid concluded the highly competitive encounter, where both sides challenged each other, with a 2-1 defeat. Rapid's only goal came from an own goal scored by Slovan Liberec player Buzek in the 56th minute. Buzek, who tried to pass the ball back to his goalkeeper Koubek, saw his shot slip into the net as the goalkeeper failed to control it, standing out as one of the interesting moments of the match. All these camps and friendly matches show that all teams are making their final touches for the exciting and fiercely competitive new season of the Romanian SuperLiga.
