A 75-year-old retired woman living in Thailand sacrificed her own cats to a giant python that entered her home, believing it to be the protective spirit of the region. It was reported that the snake first entered the house about a month ago and ate a few cats. When this situation was noticed, Pailin Sappa tried to catch the unwanted guest by its tail, but she could not withstand the animal's strength and had to let it escape. In such a situation where many people would normally call rescue teams immediately, the elderly woman took a completely different path. Believing that the python was the protective spirit of the house, the woman refrained from calling emergency hotlines for fear of harming the animal. This decision led to tragic consequences in the following days when the animal returned to the house and more cats disappeared.

However, on Tuesday, July 7, the situation took a different turn when the giant python entered the house again, this time settling on the roof. Following this incident, the elderly woman, who was seriously concerned for her family's safety, put aside her initial beliefs and finally decided to ask for help. A snake expert who arrived at the scene managed to find the giant reptile hidden in the house's waiting or storage area. The fact that the animal could shelter inside a house and in an attic for such a long time shows how suitable the region's tropical climate and the structure of the houses are for such wild animals. With the authorities stepping in, the dangerous process came to an end, and the local people also breathed a sigh of relief.

Catching the huge snake and putting it in a sack to be released back into nature required a quite challenging operation. The two professional rescue personnel assigned to the task, unable to handle the situation on their own, sought the additional help of two local residents. After an relentless struggle of about ten minutes, the fiercely resisting python was brought under control and safely placed in the sack. Authorities stated that they planned to release the snake back into its natural habitat, namely the wild. Releasing such large snakes into nature instead of destroying them is implemented as an important part of Thailand's wildlife conservation policies.

The elderly woman stated that she believed this tragic event would bring her luck and decided to buy a lottery ticket and place a bet.
