Temmuz Dönemi Maaş Zamları Netleşti: Memur ve Emekliye Yüzde 13,52 Artış

The Temmuz period salary increase process, eagerly awaited by millions of public workers and retirees, has finally concluded. With the six-month inflation data announced by Türkiye İstatistik Kurumu (TÜİK) and the integration of collective agreement increases, the final increase rate to be received by civil servants and civil servant retirees has been determined. Accordingly, a net increase of 13,52 percent was provided in the salaries of public officials and civil servant retirees. This rate was applied to cover all items, from the lowest civil servant salary to the highest-ranking officials. This arrangement, aimed at protecting the living standards of employees, caused a wide public response.

According to the detailed data announced by the Hazine ve Maliye Bakanlığı, when the family allowance is taken into account, the increase in the lowest civil servant salary reached a significant level. With the inclusion of the mentioned addition, the lowest civil servant salary rose from 61 bin 890 lira to 70 bin 224 lira. Retired public workers, as well as currently employed public personnel, will equally benefit from this increase. In parallel, the lowest civil servant pension also increased from 27 bin 772 lira to 31 bin 527 lira. These figures stand out as a significant development that directly affects the income level of millions of households.

The salary arrangement not only affected the general figures but also allowed the formation of a detailed salary table for different occupational groups and career grades. The new salaries of specialist doctors with a 1/4 degree, who are at the top of the table, rose to 170 bin 730 lira, while the salaries of professors at the same degree increased to 153 bin 208 lira. The salaries of engineers and research assistants were updated to 109 bin 185 lira and 102 bin 779 lira, respectively. This detailing clearly reveals the hierarchical functioning of the public sector and the reflection of different professional levels on salaries. Thus, the salaries to be received by each occupational group were shared with the public in a transparent manner.

The impact of the arrangement on public personnel in the lower ranks is also quite evident. For example, the salary of a university graduate civil servant increased from 64 bin 397 lira to 73 bin 70 lira, while the salaries of nurses in the 5/1 degree rose to 84 bin 845 lira. The salaries of those practicing the teaching profession reached 83 bin 254 lira, while the new salaries of expert teachers were announced as 92 bin 166 lira. The monthly salary of police officers serving under the Emniyet Genel Müdürlüğü became 92 bin 618 lira, and the salary of chief inspectors became 101 bin 242 lira. These items aim to improve the financial situations of personnel involved in maintaining essential public services such as security, health, and education.

Besides the increase in salaries, another topic most wondered about by public workers is when the salary difference payments will be deposited into their accounts. State civil servants who receive their salaries on the 15th of each month will receive their increased salaries for the month of Temmuz in accordance with this schedule. However, a process is also underway to pay the salary differences for the 14-day period corresponding to the period between the 1st and the 14th of the month. According to the schedule determined by the Hazine ve Maliye Bakanlığı, the said difference payments are planned to be transferred to the accounts shortly. These developments allow public workers to clarify the data at hand while making their budget planning.
