Unitree and China's Humanoid Robot Manufacturers

China-based robot manufacturer Unitree, priced its initial public offering in Shanghai at 150.8 yuan per share. The company is going public to raise 6.1 billion yuan (904 million dollars). Unitree was founded in 2016 by engineer Wang Xingxing and is known for its relatively affordable quadruped robots. The company's G1, H1, and R1 humanoid robots have gained global attention with their viral performances of running, dancing, and performing martial arts. Unitree is competing with Tesla, Boston Dynamics, and other Chinese startups. The company's revenue nearly quadrupled in 2025, reaching 1.7 billion yuan. Unlike many other humanoid startups, Unitree is profitable and reported an adjusted net profit of 600 million yuan. Unitree's overseas revenue accounted for more than 40% of sales in each reporting period.
