12-year-old unsolved murder committed years ago solved with DNA sample taken in prison fight

The stabbing murder of Gültekin Yıldırım in İstanbul Bayrampaşa in June 2014 remained recorded as an unsolved case for years.

The blood samples found at the crime scene and on the victim did not match any suspects at the time, while the victim's stolen phone was found in Gaziantep.
