Former Tamil Nadu BJP President K. Annamalai made important statements at the first conference of the "We The Leaders" foundation held in Partachi. Emphasizing his Indian nationalist identity at his first major event after leaving the BJP, Annamalai stated that he does not believe faith should be displayed in every setting.

Annamalai stated that the Hindu philosophy is to see everyone as equal and not to consider anyone superior or inferior. The former president, who said he leaves his religion and caste at the door when leaving home, emphasized that he serves people without discrimination. He expressed that this approach is his own Hindu philosophy.

Touching upon the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, Annamalai said that young people under 39 brought about the change of power. He stated that the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) party, founded in 2024 and led by C. Joseph Vijay, came to power as the single largest party in the 2026 elections. He predicted that young people will create a major change in the next elections in 2031.

It was announced that six important topics, such as the fight against drugs and environmental awareness, would be discussed at the conference. Six resolutions were adopted against alcohol addiction and the sale of illegal liquor. It was decided that the month of July will be celebrated as "White Ribbon Month" every year to pledge to stay away from drugs.
