Battalgazi Belediyesi Enlivens the Summer Term with Concerts, Sports, and Educational Events

Battalgazi Belediyesi announced a comprehensive summer program to contribute to the social, cultural, and educational lives of its citizens, alongside the physical infrastructure and superstructure works in the district. Catering to all age groups, the events will be held simultaneously across the district throughout the summer months. This comprehensive program of the municipality was meticulously planned so that children, youth, and families can spend quality time together. Shaped around four main pillars—culture, arts, sports, and education—the program awaits everyone who wants to spend their summer vacation productively. Thus, Battalgazi residents will have the opportunity to spend the hot summer days with entertaining and equally educational events.

One of the standout programs within the scope of sports events is the Football Summer School, conducted by the Directorate of Youth and Sports Services. The school, organized at the municipality's artificial turf pitch in Selçuklu Mahallesi, is receiving intense interest from children aged 9-14. Receiving basic football training accompanied by expert coaches, children not only adopt a healthy lifestyle but also learn important virtues such as team spirit and discipline. Consequently, young people seize the opportunity to evaluate their summer holidays more actively through sporting activities, rather than spending them in front of computers and phones. Municipal officials state that they aim to increase the number of such educational programs in the coming years to boost interest in sports and discover talented youth.

Another major event series that will enliven the summer evenings will be festivals and cultural-arts programs organized for children and families. The first children's festival of the summer evenings, which will be socially and culturally fulfilling, will open its doors at 20.00 on Sunday, 12 Temmuz, in the garden of Zafer Mahallesi Cengiz Topel İlkokulu. These festivals, where families will enjoy pleasant moments with their children, will also contribute to strengthening neighborly relations. Additionally, within the scope of cultural and artistic events, famous artist Ahmet Uçar will take the stage in Fırat Mahallesi on 11 Temmuz, offering citizens an unforgettable musical feast. The concerts and festivals, which will continue in different neighborhoods throughout the summer, will significantly revitalize the social life of the district.

Educational and artistic activities also constitute the most important building blocks of Battalgazi Belediyesi's summer program. The Painting Course for Special Talent Exam Preparation, opened for youth who want to pursue a career in fine arts, is meticulously conducted with expert instructors. This training, provided at the Painting Workshop next to the Belediye Hizmet Binası, broadens the artistic vision of the youth and prepares them technically for the exams. Taking pride in having previously placed many students in painting and conservatory departments of universities, the course aims to repeat this success this year as well. Such artistic supports trigger cultural development at the local level, allowing youth to express themselves in different fields.

The municipality's support in the field of education is not limited to the arts but also directly intervenes in academic processes. Following the announcement of the LGS results, a free counseling desk was set up for the critical preference process awaiting middle school students. This desk, which will serve at the Eskimalatya Eğitim Merkezi between 13-24 Temmuz, will be guided by expert counseling teachers. Operating on weekdays between 09.00-16.00, this free support unit aims to lighten the economic burden on families while ensuring that students make the right decisions. All these efforts clearly reveal that Battalgazi Belediyesi is not only a provider of physical infrastructure but also an institution that supports societal development.
