Paid military service fee updated according to civil servant raise, new figure becomes 472 thousand TL

A critical development closely concerning citizens wishing to benefit from the paid military service application in Turkey has occurred, and a significant increase was made to application fees. Following the finalization of the 13.52% increase for civil servant salaries, the paid military service fee was directly affected by this and raised to 472 thousand 653 TL. The main reason for this price increase is that the paid military service fee is indexed to the civil servant salary coefficient and the regulations made after the announcement of June inflation data. The paid fee, which was applied as 416 thousand 361 TL in the previous period, has increased by a difference exceeding 56 thousand TL with recent calculations, reaching the level of 472 thousand 653 TL. The amount has entered into force as of July 1, 2026, and applications will be received based on this figure until the end of the year.

The process of determining the fee technically relies on a mechanism of recalculating twice a year depending on the change in the civil servant salary coefficient. The 13.52% increase made to the salaries of civil servants and civil servant retirees following the announcement of June inflation data directly affected this coefficient as well. Due to this mechanism, the increase in the lowest civil servant salary amount applied in the previous period has been reflected in the paid military service fee in the same proportion.

According to current calculations, the new paid military service fee constitutes the official amount to be taken as a basis for applications to be made between July 1, 2026, and December 31, 2026.
