Columbia Basin Trust Provides Meaningful Support to Music Events in Trail

Columbia Basin Trust is providing significant financial support to community-based events with the aim of revitalizing the music and cultural life in the region. In this context, the 'Music in the Park' event, organized in the town of Trail and attracting great public interest, is among the groups receiving a share of the donations. During this festival season, the Trust is providing funding exceeding 234.000 dollars in total to 20 different organizations. Justine Cohen, the Trust's senior manager, emphasizes that these seasonal gatherings shape communities every year and add great energy to them. On Thursday, 9 Temmuz, one of the beloved stops of the summer program filled with music and culture, an event that will give the audience an unforgettable evening is planned. This special concert, which will take place at Gyro Park, will start with the performance of the Mbira Renaissance Band between 18:15 and 20:00. Afterwards, El Balcón will take the stage, creating an atmosphere filled with danceable rhythms that blend Mexican and Middle Eastern music styles. This broad support provided by the Trust was offered under the program named 'Basin Festivals Grants' and is meticulously managed by the West Kootenay Regional Arts Council.
