Dirk Kuyt: We Will Win the Championship Together at Fenerbahçe

Dirk Kuyt, one of Fenerbahçe's legendary figures, appeared before the press for the first time after starting his duty as an assistant coach at the yellow-navy club. Stating that the discipline and atmosphere during the new season preparations at the Topuk Yaylası facilities suited him very well, Kuyt expressed great happiness in returning to the club as a technical man. He emphasized that they did their best to increase motivation in the team before the upcoming season and that the energy on the field was quite high.

Kuyt, who experienced unforgettable moments and the joy of championship under the Fenerbahçe jersey during his football career, stated that they were fully aware of the club's fans' expectations. He said that the fans had longed for a championship for a long time and that they would do their best to end this longing this season. Stating that the players of the current team should also experience the championship excitement he lived in the past, he explained that they worked intensively to achieve this goal.

The Dutch technical man added at the press conference that he never severed his ties with the club and never felt like he had left Fenerbahçe. He stated that he made an intense effort to improve himself in the technical field after ending his football career and gained valuable experiences starting from the Feyenoord youth academy during this process. He conveyed that he was impatient to bring the coaching experience he gained in the last five years to Fenerbahçe and contribute to the team.

Touching on his working relationship with Head Coach İsmail Kartal, Kuyt emphasized that İsmail Hoca was a person who attached great importance to teamwork and internal communication. He stated that everyone's opinion in the team was valued and that they were in a constant effort to be better every day. He expressed that establishing a strong bond between Turkish and foreign players was of critical importance to achieve success in the expectedly tough Süper Lig marathon, and that reflecting this togetherness on the field would be the biggest factor for the championship.

Stating that work was continuing uninterruptedly regarding the formation of the squad before the new season, Kuyt announced that they acted very meticulously in the transfer process and believed they would make the right decisions.
