Red and White Village Cooperatives to Become the Engine of People's Economy in Indonesia

Managers of the Red and White Village/Neighborhood Cooperatives (KDKMP) in Indonesia believe that these cooperatives, established by the government, can become the driving force of the people's economy. It is stated that this cooperative model aims to support the economic development of local people.

Managers foresee that these structures can increase social welfare by revitalizing economic activities at the rural and neighborhood levels. It is targeted that the cooperatives will expand economic opportunities by bringing together small-scale producers.
