Football Summer School Without Fees Starts at Eskişehir Osmangazi University

The Football Summer School organized within Eskişehir Osmangazi University continues its activities at an intense pace. The team, formed mainly by athletes born in 2014, has been working hard at Osmangazi Stadium for about a month to prepare for the new season. The trainings held three days a week stand out as the most important part of the preparation process for both the U13 League and the upcoming Kapadokya Tournament. The technical team implements a program that works meticulously to maximize the physical and technical development of young athletes.

Coach Fatma Üner provided detailed information about the team's goals and the work being done, highlighting the significant tournament ahead. She stated that preparations for the special Kapadokya Tournament to be held between July 9-12 are continuing at a very intense pace. At the same time, the team aims to maintain its presence in the U13 League and achieve successful results, proceeding within a tight work schedule in this context. Üner expressed that the players' match and training performances are increasing day by day and they display a ready appearance for the tournament.

It was reported that the work is not limited to the field but also is followed closely administratively. Eskişehir Osmangazi University Director of Sports Culture Timuçin Doğan continues to support the morale of the athletes by closely following the summer school project. Besides Doğan, Director Koray İrdelp also follows the trainings regularly from the field, maintaining constant communication with the technical staff and athletes. This administrative sensitivity clearly reveals the institutional support of the project and the importance the university administration attaches to sports.

The most striking and socially responsibility-oriented aspect of the project is recorded as the fact that no fee or charge is requested from the participants. It was emphasized that athletes to join the team are determined through selections and successful children do not face any financial obligation during this process. Coach Fatma Üner stated that the main purpose of this practice is to give every child the opportunity to play sports under equal conditions. This model, where doors are kept open to all children regardless of their financial situation, is met with great appreciation by families.

It was clearly stated that one of the primary goals of the summer school is not only to train good football players, but also to create useful individuals for society beyond that.
