ANAM Center in Killarney, Ireland Launches Its Summer Culture and Arts Program

The town of Killarney, located in County Kerry, Ireland, is preparing to offer unforgettable moments to both locals and tourists visiting the city with an art and culture-filled season this summer. The 2026 ANAM Summer Arts Programme (ASAP), brought to life through the collaboration of Kerry County Council Arts Service and the Killarney Arts Working Group, has been officially launched. The dedicated arts and cultural center located on East Avenue Road will host live music, theatre, film screenings, and various competitions for young people. Furthermore, a two-day concert series led by Sliabh Luachra musician Aidan Connory will be held in late July. At these concerts, which will also feature esteemed artists such as Bryan O'Leary, Colm Guilfoyle, and Charlie O'Brien, the region's unique history, rich songs, and deep folk music culture will be conveyed to the audience. These events play a crucial role in keeping Ireland's deep-rooted musical heritage alive.

The music festival will not be limited to professional or established artists; a free concert series called 'The Anam Sessions', directed by Tim O'Shea, will also meet with art lovers. These sessions, to be held on certain Wednesday evenings of July and August, will offer the opportunity to discover local talents in Irish folk music, songwriting, and Afro-Irish styles. In addition, the highly acclaimed 'Battle of the Bands' competition, organized in partnership with Music Generation Kerry, is returning in August.
