In this tournament played with 48 teams, FIFA distributed a historic prize pool totaling 727 million dollars. This new financial model, where even teams eliminated in the group stage secured guaranteed revenues, positively impacted all federations.

The prize money is not distributed directly to the players; the management and distribution plan of the funds are carried out by the Royal Spanish Football Federation in accordance with internal agreements determined before the tournament. The federation plans to use this massive revenue for infrastructure investments, technological advancements, and the football projects of the future.
