Air Pollution Warning Issued for Seven Cities in Kazakistan

In a recent statement made by Kazgidromet, the national meteorological service of Kazakistan, it was reported that air quality could seriously drop in various regions of the country. Authorities announced that unfavorable meteorological conditions that could cause an increase in air pollution are expected on 7 Temmuz. In this context, it was emphasized that various measures must be taken to protect the health of citizens. The situation in question presents a picture that could negatively affect the lives of sensitive groups in particular. Meteorology experts warned that air pollution could reach dangerous levels in a short time.

The seven cities where air quality is expected to drop include Karaganda, Jezkazgan, Balkaş, Temirtau, Aktobe, Almaty, and Kostanay. These cities are scattered across different regions of Kazakistan and rank among important centers in terms of industrial activities and population density. Experts state that the accumulation of pollutants in the lower layers of the atmosphere in these cities will be inevitable. The geographical structures of the cities and current weather dynamics further increase this risk. Therefore, local governments must also be careful in implementing preventive measures based on these meteorological data.

The effective meteorological conditions occur through a combination of various weather factors such as weak winds, stagnant air, fog, and temperature inversion. According to meteorological forecasts, air temperatures in some regions of the country could rise up to 41 degrees.
