Russian missile and drone attacks paralyze civilian life in Kiev

Ukraine's capital Kiev continues to be the target of intensified missile and drone attacks by Russia. According to Budagovska, the most terrifying part of the attacks is nothing but the sound the missile makes. The young woman, who states that she completely freezes and does not know what to do while experiencing that moment, reveals the helplessness of the civilian population in the face of war. Since the first day the war started, many people have been experiencing similar traumas over and over again. Being stuck between the survival instinct and the freezing response has become the common fate of millions of people in Kiev. This psychological exhaustion seems like it will last much longer than the healing of physical wounds.

Situations where air defense systems fail to stop missiles take the anxiety level in the city to its peak. Even though technology is highly advanced, intercepting some missiles that arrive at high speeds and make sudden maneuvers requires a technically very strong effort.
