Gulf Countries Issued an Urgent Security Warning Against Iran's Missile and UAV Attacks

Kuwait and Bahrain issued urgent security warnings to their citizens against missile and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attacks reportedly originating from Iran. An official statement released by the Kuwaiti military via the social media platform X shared the information that air defense systems successfully countered air attacks launched from Iran. The statement noted that the sounds of explosions heard by regional residents in recent days stemmed from these air defense activities and posed no threat. Officials emphasized that the public should not panic but strictly adhere only to official security and safety instructions. This development is considered the clearest indication that tensions in the Gulf region have suddenly escalated and that the civilian population is at direct risk.

The Bahraini Ministry of Interior shared similar concerns, announcing that a high level of alarm had been declared across the country. In the ministry's emergency statement, citizens and all foreigners residing in the country were urged to remain calm immediately. Furthermore, in the event of a potential conflict or attack, individuals were requested to quickly go to the nearest safe shelters or protected areas. It was stated that all security units in the country have been put on high alert and that the airspace is being continuously monitored. Bahrain issuing such a comprehensive warning brings along serious concerns that the attacks by Iranian forces could expand northward. Officials also warned against misinformation from the public, urging reliance only on announcements made through official channels.

In the background of this regional tension lies an escalating military conflict between the United States and Iran. In a previous statement, US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that it had launched a decisive operation in retaliation for Iran's attacks targeting commercial maritime traffic and international ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz. In this context, it was confirmed that successfully (успешно) struck by US forces were more than 80 Iranian military targets positioned in the vast vicinity of the strait. This military maneuver by the US aimed to ensure the security of the strategic waterways, which are the heart of maritime trade, and to halt Iran's aggressive actions. These large-scale airstrikes carried out by American forces were immediately and severely subjected to retaliation by Iran. According to information reported by Fars News Agency, which is close to Iran's official Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the IRGC did not delay in responding. In retaliation for the US attacks on Iran's southern regions during the nighttime hours, it was reported that the Revolutionary Guards targeted a total of 85 military facilities located in Bahrain and Kuwait using missiles and UAVs. This situation demonstrates that the conflict is not limited to Iranian territory or open seas, but also carries the potential to turn the territories of Gulf Cooperation Council member countries into a direct battlefield. Iran's statement proves how justified and urgent the strict security measures taken by the Kuwaiti and Bahraini administrations are.
