According to the latest data from the Meteoroloji Genel Müdürlüğü, Kütahya city center is expected to be affected by severe rainfall this weekend. In recent weather assessments, it is predicted that thunderstorms starting on July 4, Saturday, will cause significant changes in the temperature and humidity balance in the region. Citizens are urged to consider these adverse weather conditions while planning their weekend and take necessary precautions in advance.

Forecasts for Saturday indicate that the air temperature will drop to 15 degrees at night and reach a high of 26 degrees during the day. While the humidity rate ranges between 38% and 83%, the wind will blow at a speed of 14 km per hour, affecting the perceived temperature. Although the temperature follows seasonal norms, citizens are advised to pay attention to their outdoor clothing due to the coolness caused by the rainy weather.

The effect of the rainy system will continue on Sunday as well, with the air temperature expected to show a slight decrease, reaching a low of 15 and a high of 23 degrees. The humidity rate rising to between 45% and 94% may cause the air to become stifling and extremely humid. It is stated that the wind speed could increase up to 21 km per hour, intensifying the rainfall, and signs of storms may be encountered.

Authorities have warned citizens against potential adversities caused by sudden and heavy rainfall, calling for caution regarding flood risks. Specifically, warnings have been issued to stay away from open areas and avoid walking under trees due to the increased risk of lightning during rainfall. Water pooling may occur in parts of the city with insufficient infrastructure, so drivers need to exercise extra care in traffic.

Authorities stated that potential disruptions in transportation should be taken into consideration, emphasizing that rainfall could reduce visibility and make roads slippery. Leaving travel plans flexible, avoiding driving during rainy hours unless necessary, and following emergency teams' warnings will make life easier. Meteorology officials reported that this change in weather is valid only for the weekend, and data regarding the weather situation will be re-evaluated with the new week.
