Myongji University Launches AI-Centric Transformation with 'MJU 2030'

Myongji University has begun implementing 'MJU 2030', a medium-to-long-term strategic plan designed to adapt to the AI era. Based on the successes of the existing 'MJU 2025 3.0' plan, this new strategy aims to fundamentally overhaul the university structure. Accordingly, the number of 'AX intersection bridge' courses, designed to enable students to utilize AI technologies within their own majors, is planned to increase cumulatively to 150 by 2030.

To enhance educational quality, mandatory general culture courses covering AI fundamentals and applications will be introduced for all new students. This initiative aims to ensure all students attain a specific standard of AI literacy, targeting a 100 percent achievement rate. The university is also committed to strengthening practical training models to meet industry needs. Project-based education systems utilizing real corporate data will be expanded to prepare students for real-world projects.

To support future entrepreneurs, startup funds and pre-entrepreneur support programs for students will be launched. Myongji University plans to expand the scope of micro-credential programs, which operate in conjunction with the 'RISE' project and are tailored to sector needs. Additionally, a lifelong learning model addressing the needs of the local community and industry will be created to support regional development.
