The painting had been displayed in the homes of the grandson and daughter-in-law of Friedrich Kadgien, a Nazi financial advisor who fled to Argentina after World War II. After being spotted by journalists, the missing work was returned to its rightful owners following a legal process.
As part of the settlement, the Kadgien family agreed to donate approximately 2,750 euros to local hospitals. Von Saher plans to have the painting temporarily exhibited at the Buenos Aires Holocaust Museum.
