Truck and Lorry Collision in Şanlıurfa: 1 Dead, 1 Injured

A tragic traffic accident that occurred in the Viranşehir district of Şanlıurfa has caused great sorrow in the region. In the evening hours on the Viranşehir-Şanlıurfa highway at the Kırlık Mahallesi location, a truck with license plate 27 AZK 454 driven by Abdullah Ser and a lorry with license plate 63 AGV 616 under the control of Hüseyin K. collided violently. Due to the severity of the accident, the drivers in both vehicles remained trapped inside the wrecked cars. The impact of the collision caused the drivers to be locked inside the vehicles, making rescue efforts difficult and increasing the urgency of the incident.

Following the accident report, numerous teams were dispatched to the scene, and a large-scale operation was initiated. Health, fire, and gendarmerie teams arrived at the scene shortly after, racing against time while the drivers struggled to survive. Fire crews used special equipment and meticulous efforts to search the area to extract the injured trapped inside the vehicles. As a result of the intense efforts of the teams, one of the drivers removed from the vehicle was unfortunately found to have lost their life during checks.

It was determined that the driver who lost their life in the accident was Abdullah Ser, who was driving the truck, while the lorry driver, Hüseyin K., was rescued injured. After the initial emergency intervention by medical teams at the scene, the injured driver was taken to Viranşehir State Hospital by ambulance. Although no official statement has been made regarding whether the injured driver's life is in danger, it was reported that he was admitted to the hospital for treatment and his health condition is being closely monitored. The treatment process at the hospital tried to mitigate the unfortunate outcome of the accident, if only a little.
