Sırbistan's New Gun Law Targets Legal Owners, Not Criminals

The organization named Sırbistan Merkezi (SRCE) stated that the new Gun and Ammunition Law planned to be enacted in the country is a subject of serious criticism. According to the organization, this new regulation is characterized by punishing citizens who act in full compliance with the legislation, rather than preventing individuals prone to committing crimes or those who obtain weapons illegally. It is stated that the new rules brought by the ban will create direct pressure on hunters, sport shooters, collectors, and all other legal gun owners. Non-governmental organizations and relevant associations emphasize that this situation means the usurpation of the rights of law-abiding citizens.
